Overcooked 2 Game Review

Overcooked 2 was released on the 7th of August 2018 by Team17 Digital ltd as the follow on to the brilliantly fun Overcooked. The main story takes around 7 hours to complete but if you want to squeeze everything you can out of this game, then it will take around 10-12 hours.

The game developers are constantly updating the game and as of the 5th of February 2019, there is a free Chinese New Year update available to all. The aim of the game is to travel the land cooking up a range of new recipes that are sure to cater to any tastes, including sushi, cakes, burgers and pizzas. Here at Whosup4gaming we found that the best way to conquer the kitchen is for every chef to have a task, such as chopping ingredients, washing plates and looking after that all important pot of stew, but remember to have the fire extinguisher close by as too many cooks CAN spoil the broth (or set it on fire in this case). Communication is key to a happy kitchen but when that timer went off at the end of the match we were all angered into silence, with no one daring to speak. In one of our gameplays we were (at the start) bravely and confidently ready to take on the task of making Tacos but thing started to go mouldy with the fire extinguished being chucked at the bottom of the river and both pots of rice burning the kitchen down as well as our expectations.

But this is what the game is all about with its fast pace atmosphere, colourful and beautiful art design, amazingly jolly music and easy to use controls all adding to the appeal of this game. However if you scrape open the lid you may find long matchmaking times, online glitches, frustrating teammates and often a very competitive atmosphere which is sometimes taken too seriously and in our personal opinion that is not what this game is all about. Therefore we found that to get the best experience you can from this game, then you really need to play with family and friends to create a more relaxed game style, but still expect to be rushed off of your feet with lots of orders from angry customers.

Over all Overcooked 2 is a fun loving, family friendly game which may start family feuds when the kitchen goes up in flames and here at Whosup4gaming we give it a score of 8/10.

Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the video, have a good day and happy gaming.
